It was just a perfect match for a temporary stay in Winslow with definitely value for money. The thick curtains in the room made it easy to sleep in and block out the morning light. Make sure to grab your breakfast items from the fridge before heading out for the day.

What makes it worth it – and what doesn’t

The owner greeted us in the rain and ensured we felt welcomed. Breakfast choices were ample and brilliantly presented, making morning meals a delight.

Finding the property was troublesome due to lacking directional signs, and the nearby dining options weren't very accessible.

i stayed one night at The Stables and it exceeded my expectations. the room was super clean, cozy, and had everything needed for a lovely breakfast. i really appreciated the comfy bed and well-stocked fridge for a relaxing stay.

The stay was quite enjoyable, especially since we were close to the Roald Dahl Children's Gallery and the Green Dragon Eco Farm, making it a great base for family outings. I really appreciated that the room was spacious and had a good shower, which was perfect for refreshing after a busy day. The breakfast options provided in the fridge made mornings easy and relaxing. it was a peaceful retreat with lovely countryside views.

the stay was quite uneventful. the bed was hard and the towels were far too small. i would have expected a complimentary gesture for my discomfort, but clearly, i woudl ve been mistaken. i nearly gave a glowing review until these minor flaws decided to ruin my experience at this overhyped place.

There are some quirks to be aware of, like the gravel driveway that can be a real pain for rolling heavy suitcases. the bathroom had some minor maintenance issues with a bit of limescale on the taps, and the provided towels are smaller than I prefer—definitely could use a larger size after a shower. it may be tricky to find the place due to not-so-great signage. The duvet was rather heavy, so if you like something lighter, you might want to bring your own.

My stay at The Stables B&B @ Pear Tree Cottage was delightful! The room was spotlessly clean, comfortably furnished, and provided a well-stocked fridge with breakfast essentials. The lovely view of the garden and countryside made for a serene atmosphere.
